Here is a little background information about them

Shandoon was one of the first characters I played, as I played him I imagined him a bit playfull, brash, go happy and full of life. I leveled him as a feral for a while (which I enjoyed IMMENSELY! XD) but afterwards I wanted to try out Balance. I didn't like it at first, and changed back once, but afterwards I really liked the whole balance feeling, and even dual specced him as a healer

Shandoon is pretty much the reincarnation of life, he's always cheerfull, kind polite, and loves pranks.

Nadiya is the exact opposite. She used to be a priest, but she was betrayed by a Blood elf pretty boy, who pretended to be hurt and used her kindness to get some Alliance battleplans. Both her and her people were murdered shortly afterwards in a caravan by the Horde because of him. She became a perversion of her former self, serving the lich king, and she became devout of spirit, of emotion, and everything she said and did showed a great sadness coming from her.

She doesn't see the point of life, and is often very distant about things that happen around her, not feeling anything at all. She started killing the scourge and the Horde to try and feel at least something, even if that meant the passing feeling of vengeance. Her only affection was to her Undead minion she often takes with her, and even then you could hear the sorrow in what she does.

This changed the moment she and Shandoon met each other. Shandoon met her while working together in a battlegrounds, and found her beauty unnerving. He was also unnerved about how she slaughtered the Horde on the battlefield, even the ones who surrendered. She believed (and still believes) him to be a fool for showing kindness to them, since they revel in fighting the Alliance, having their delusions of "bad boys", and not feeling any guilt or responsibility for their actions (like the Blood elf guy did to her).

They were extreme opposites, but they somewhat completed each other much like Nobuko and valkieria did to each other as well. Nadiya has protected Shandoon in the battlegrounds (her element is death), whereas Shandoon has shown Nadiya to enjoy life and emotions (his element is life) even if she is often sounds very emo, and sad.

However, the times that she is with Shandoon, are the only times that she is shown to smile
