Description
Here are some of my new PvZ humanizations, inspired by the Lost City plants and the Small Chestnut Team from the Chinese games.
The first one is A.K.E.E. (human name: Aggie Katapultos). I wanted her to sort of look like a smart but slightly awkward teenager who's plucky and somewhat tomboyish. I decided to make her ponytail and kerchief resemble her petals in plant form (her upcoming costume includes a purple kerchief) and because Aggie has a fascination with pilots and the military, she wears camo tights and pilot goggles on her head. I'm really proud of how she came out and I think that she's one of my better humanizations for PvZ plants.
My humanization of Toadstool (human name: Harriet Hopkins) is well...toadlike. I wanted her to look ugly, warty, and as squat as a toad, but I wanted her to also look hardworking and like a "no nonsense" type. Like the plant costume for Toadstool in the game, Harriet has very curly red hair, and she wears a bright orange outfit with polka dots. (That's her natural hair color and style, not a wig.) I sort of had some inspiration for her from Umbridge, who is my least favorite Harry Potter character, but with less pink.
Gold Leaf (human name: Goldie Gildenleaf) is sort of based on a banker or accountant, like Mary (human!Marigold). I sort of combined the two wigs she gets as costumes to make her hairdo, complete with the bow barrette. (In human form, this actually is her real hair) I put a lot of gold, brown, and other autumn colors into her couture, and I think that she came out great. Not sure I like how the bifocals look on her (I was going for a combination of serious and whimsical), but I guess they're alright.
The three little girls are the Small Chestnut Team. (human names: Chloe, Chelsea, and Chiara Chestnut) Again, their wigs in plant form are their real hair in human form, so the sisters have matching hair ribbons and gravity-defying braids. As the chestnut coating is furry and green, the sisters wear fuzzy green sweaters and brown skirts. I picture them as the sort of kids who look all sweet and innocent, but gossip about everyone and are a little creepy. All three girls have a precocious crush on Lee Bamboo.
Stallia (human name: Dahlia DeSporo) is supposed to be lazy and tired. I tried to work the look of her petals into a volumized, wavy hairdo, and for some reason, she looks subtly Goth to me because of her heavy makeup and apathetic stare. I picture as her as constantly exhausted and very slow-moving, and possibly a heavy sleeper during her off hours.
Lastly, we have Endurian (human name: Darian Durian). Based on his gruff demeanor and the fact that durians don't smell so good, I decided to make him an arrogant, unfriendly jock with bad hygiene. (The fact that he wears athletic clothing is because he's a football player; determined by his costume). The spiky hair and stubble is because he's spiky in both appearance and personality, and I imagine him as being coarse and rude.
