yes.. almost missed it... i had taken the other shots... and was walking back to the car, the light was almost gone, and it was just dull.. then I turned back and the red had exploded out of nowhere... lasted maybe 2 minutes, i caught the end of it...

It happens and can even take less, sometimes it's just a slo-mo fade. But its rare.
