This painting is a portrayal of an ancient civilization that built their sanctuary in a cave to protect themselves from the harsh winter climate. Being able to adapt to the never-ending cold winter, the people learned to equip themselves with gigantic creature hunting skills. The skills enable them to defend themselves from the attacks of large, ferocious creatures and at the same time, provide a solution to lack of food source that they face due to the harsh winter.

Now to this work. First, things first. I like the style, the use of light and colors. You can nearly feel the cold.
I'm not a good artist so it may be inappropriate to critize it, but is snow in side of a cave realisic. I see that there are some open parts. But the snow is everywhere even on top of the crags. On the other hands there is light coming from the ceiling so that could explain it.
In the end it's a great picture.
