Alien race from the Red Planet, that invaded Earth at the beginning on XX century. After unbelievably long evolution - both natural and technological - they finally became nothing but bear-sized head with plenty of tentacles, so weak that on Earth they had to walk just like octopi. Despite of such conditions they still didn't need strong muscles or even effective gastric system - all of this was replaced by powerful biomechanical exoskeletons and a procedure of injecting blood of other creatures into Martians' veins. By aeons of that artificial vampirism and asexual polyp-like reproduction they became completely free of emotions known to humankind, and living on slowly dying planet made them even more cold-hearted and calculated.
