Ah yes, the "just a joke" alibi. When you need that perfect excuse for being gross and dismissive. Tip: get a sense of humor that's actually funny. 

Also, sugarlumps, here's the thing. You can't mount your magnificent high horse and toss your hair back, sniffing "I thought you would be *smarter* than that", when your initial response to me is "LOL LOL ~~TRIGGER JOKE~~". (Yes, sweetie, that's basically what it boils down to. Ignore the fact that this is an issue of proper characterization as much as it is SJW bullshit and just go straight for the "lol triggers" thing.) For what reason should I spare a proper argument for you when THAT'S what you're giving me to work with? What indication is there that you'll even read and digest anything I say especially when all my prior experiences with anyone who blatantly and proudly wears a brony username is that I'd have better luck inserting beartraps into all my bodily orifices? 

(And yeah, that's why it *is* related. By having a brony username, you're sort of bringing it into the conversation whether anyone wants it to or not. Username + pathetic response = continuing the pisspoor reputation of bronies. If it was just one or the other, it'd be one thing, but it's the combination that tells me a lot.)

Okay, I am going write one last comment with no 'jokes' because reading your comments has been more frustrating than I wished it to be. The 'just a joke' response was used to dismiss you because I had no intention of having a serious conversation with you, ever. I don't care what you had to say or what your point was, I spotted a moment where someone was being upset while viewing an ancestor picture therefore I associated that with the 'trigger warning' joke that has been circulating on related homestuck blogs and forums in order to make a half decent joke. My second response was more hostile towards you because of several reasons; you are obviously an extremely defensive person as you could not accept a friendly barb and immediately responded in a way that took all sense of fun out of my first response. You brought up the fact that I have a brony related username because you were desperate to have an insult where none was needed and saw my username as an easy target. I said, 'you should be smarter than that' because I thought an individual as well spoken as you would be able to wither accept what I was doing as childish joking and ignore me OR insult me in someway that was clever, not a way that makes you come off as desperate. But no, you did neither, you simply responded with an increased level of hostility while making yourself out to be the more rational of us two.

I'm getting the sense that you are having a greater problem here and you have decided to take out your aggression against me for some unknown reason. I wish for you to see the way in which you handled this situation was way too aggressive for anyone to see the point to your original argument. I don't hate you or I don't think that this is how you normally act. You have simply fallen pray to letting your emotions spoil the rationality of your responses, and act that I and everyone else falls prey to from time to time. 

Also I don't want you think that I look down on you or think that I am better than you, I know that my second response was more hostile than it needed to be and I apologize to you for it but you are also not without fault here. I will respond to your next response if you try to be respectful towards me but if not this will be are last correspondence.

Then I have a feeling you're not going to respond, because by not showing [i]me[/i] any respect, I have no inclination to show [i]you[/i] any respect. 

Which is what you've done in this response, make no mistake. Even just skimming this post as I initially did, I could spot that it was absolutely loaded with condescension and self-righteousness. In your last paragraph, you try to say that you're not looking down at me, but the rest of your comment does exactly that. 

I mean... Come on. "I'm getting the sense that you are having a greater problem here and you have decided to take out your aggression against me for some unknown reason." You've known me for all of two seconds and you're trying to play psychologist on the basis of... What? 

(You're also trying to make yourself innocent with this statement, for all you go on about how sorry you are in the last paragraph. 'For some unknown reason'. You just admitted that you were outright dismissive in your initial response to me and if you're even passingly familiar with this fandom or just basic courtesy you'd have to know that there would be a chance I'd be at least just as dismissive to you in turn. I also outright told you that bronies have a horrendous reputation to start with, that you have done nothing to prove that reputation wrong. There's no "unknown reason". I've made it plenty known. You just want to use 'sorry' like it's a get out of jail free card while at the same time trying to play up the victim card as if you had nothing to do with how this conversation has gone.) 

That's not even going into your entire response. (The things I could write on the contradictory statement of "your emotions spoil your rationality". If I scream in your face that the sky is blue, I'm not being any less rational or wrong. I'm just being loud.) 

So. You can try again with considerably less condescension, or you can stick true to your word and not respond to me. 

I'll be blunt and honest (which you seem to mistake for aggression): I hope you choose the latter because I have no interest in seeing either a botched attempt or escalation.
