so........ finally got a basic design for this jerk. velocity's dad.

he serves in the military, which is why he wears mechanical arms. it allows him to do things normal asthenas usually can't. these arms are also used in cities/towns where asthenas may also work. any job where hands would be needed (which, is basically all of them) supplies these mechanical arms. they hook around the "arms" of the wings themselves and compress just hard enough to stay attached and not hurt the asthena. it's hard to explain. either way, technology very is capable of this crap in my characters' universe

of course, there are some completely against this idea, as it is seen as a way to make the species "better"
i'll probably go more into that later

p.s. still havent decided on a name for this dude yet so i'm just calling him edge man for now
