Description You all probably know Stanley Kubricks movie "The Shining" with Jack Nicholson, one of my favourite movies ever. This picture (and the follow up in two days) extremly reminded me of the strange hotel. Don't you feel so? Let me know!
The strong colors resulted from manual white balance settings.

EDIT: Color correction and enhanced image quality

well I live in the back country of WV USA... so all I have to take pictures of, when it comes to architecture, are barns

Spectacular shot, I love the receeding lights and colour tones. Your gallery is incredible, one of the few that I can say is actually quality-wise as good as Coxi and Takitus's, keep it up man!

Thank you very much!

Well, I don't find the places and they don't find me... the whole thing is about making the best of the places where you currently are.

Good movie. Scary, but good. Again, I love the blue color you've achieved in this. Great perspective and excellent use of lighting. It has such a powerful glow to it.

Very good use of the manual white balance. The angle is sweet as well.

I can't remember the movie very well, but now that you said so, it sort of reminds me of the hotel.. But even without that, it's still pretty cool, all those lights make it look like a spaceship or something

The hotel they filmed the movie in is here in Montana. The Glacier Hotel.

I went there once when I was a little kid.

Nice photo.

i love this, a lot the colours are so intense, and while i haven't seen the movie, i can well imagine what you are trying to imply, as i'm sure many others will do. if i might make one slight comment, it would be that you should have straightened the picture after making the other adjustments, as it is a little wonky (something which the human eye is very good at noticing). that said, this really gives the impression of a hospital, chilling and impersonal. great stuff!
