Ronan watched from in between the trees as Bambi nuzzled their father's chest one last time before running back to Mina and following her into the darkness of the trees. He couldn't believe it... His own father gave away his little brother!! Angry, Ronan took off towards where the Great Prince was headed and cut him off.

The Great Prince stopped and looked at Ronan's furious gaze. "There's no need for you to stay here any longer," he said solemnly. "You're free to go back home."

Ronan only shook his head and said, "What is wrong with you?" The Prince's eyes lifted and an eyebrow raised at his son's tone. "You just... just gave Bambi away to some doe?!"

"He needs a mother, Ronan. I cannot care for him, a Prince does not --"

"No, stop it!!" Ronan growled, stepping towards his father. "Stop it with this 'A Prince does not do this', 'A Prince does not do that'. Father, things have changed! Bambi has changed you! Don't you see that?"

"Ronan, enough," The Great Prince said firmly, stepping to go around him, but Ronan stood firmly in his father's path. The Great Prince sighed. "What could I do? I don't know how to raise a child!"

"Are you kidding me, Father? Look at the past week that you've spent with Bambi! I don't think I've ever seen you smile so much in such little time. Bambi has shown you what it is to not just be a good Prince, but yet still be able to have fun when you can. Sure, I hate the little squirt but that's what big brothers are supposed to do."

The Great Prince only looked at his son and Ronan could see his expression change, so he kept going. "Father, I hate Bambi because he was able to do things that I never could when you trained me. You've shown him more affection recently than I ever felt or got from you, and I can't help but be jealous about that because I tried my hardest to be the best Prince I could be, but that still wasn't good enough. And yet... Bambi was able to do that and he could show you what it means to have fun. And you just... gave him away to a strange doe."

"It was best for him," The Prince said.

"Would Mother have wanted this!?" Ronan snapped back, and he knew he hit home when he said that. The Great Prince's ears fell back flat against his head, and Ronan continued. "Mother would never have wanted to see her son just given away, she would want his father to raise him and show him everything he can to be the best that he can be."

Ronan felt his own emotions brewing but he held them back the best he could. The Great Prince's eyes fell. This was the first time Ronan had ever really spoken his mind to him before. Ronan took a deep breath and steadied his voice before saying, "Now, I don't care if you follow me or not, but I'm going to get Bambi. I'm not going to let some stranger raise my little brother when he could be surrounded by a family that loves him. And it's up to you whether you want to be a part of it."

At that, Ronan let out a loud snort and turned away from the Prince, taking off into the trees after Mina and Bambi.

Now for this I REEEALLY tried to do it without a ref, but it turned out butt ugly so I just traced what I needed So Ronan is mad that his Father just gave Bambi away, so he's going to go get his little brother back, with or without him.
