Cute but the way that leg's bending is giving me the creeps. Wasn't that supposed to be an elbow?

thats how i use to be when it came to colored pencils @_@ took me forever of shading in black and white to realise it was just as easy to do it in color lol. i usualy start with the darkest part of the shading first and then just lighten it up as i go i like to use a very light light with a pencil for a refrence line as to how far the dark end goes and when it meets the light part of the shading

Well, I think shading is easier to do in black and white, 'cause you don't need to worry about the color much. But my coloring in general sucks. I tend to get bored and color quickly. It ends up a mess.
When I color and shade (not very common), I usually start off with the base colors, then rinse off the color a bit from the lightest parts with an eraser, and then I try to shade slowly. But, as I just said, I end up doing it too quickly and ruining it.

all you really need to do is take your time, and using an eraser works fine too :3
i usually make sure that i want to color/shade first and sometimes even listen to music that keeps me in the drawing mood.

^^ I guess.
Hmm... that should work for me. I usually don't listen to music while drawing, 'cause I usually draw in class. @_@
Some teachers actually don't mind, so... it's a good stress reliever.
