Description
The four taeras elements, put together in a final piece that I will be selling at an art fair in August.I hate watermarking all over the place, butcha know. Precautions.

I have to say that the yellow one (Wind I'm guessing?) is my favorite! I just really like the yellow and orange coloring, and the way it stands out against the black is really cool. I also like the swirly strands coming off the creature. Really cool!

Thanks! It's done completely in Photoshop - "digital painting" with small brushes on a black ground.

Lovely. And great choice of a black background, it really makes the colours seem that much more vibrant. Whoever gets their hands on this should consider themselves very lucky. Good luck!

I would definetly buy this if I had the chance. I like the green one the best, it looks very proud of itself. The idea of the Taerasi is very cool, even if my brother looked at me weird when I described it to him. This quality of work is what I hope that I can acheive with enough practice over the next few years. I hope that you never stop creating such beautiful works.

I'm glad you like the taerasi- I was doing adoptable ones by request a while ago- if you'd like one of your own, I'd be glad to draw one for you if you'd like.

I would like a Taeras of my own. I've thought about it for a while though (which is why this has taken me so long) and I can't come up with any real idea of how I would even give you a basis of what I would like. Uh... I like foxes? If that helps any. I'm practicing alot, and using references more now, and my stuff is coming out better. Your work is just so incredibly cool, though, I don't if I'll ever be able to come up with some of the cool stuff you do.

I would post my stuff, but I am without a scanner. I don't know anyone with a scanner, either, so I'm stuck there. If I get one, though, I'll start posting. Thanks in advance for the drawing.

Thanks a bunch! The green's my favourite too, and the first one of the elemental taerasi I drew, to boot!
My secret to what? Pose, color, or elemental feel? 
The pose and elemental feel go hand in hand. Earth is grounded, mostly solid, mostly unmoving. It's a root. So, green elemental has all four feet on the ground. Air is light and capricious, so the pink elemental is lifting slightly into the air. Both fire and water are in almost constant motion, which I find completely mesmerizing, so the yellow and blue have dynamic poses.
Digital art.... I've only really worked a lot in Photoshop. I think the best way to get good at and find your style in it is to do it, and continue doing it. There's certain technical tips that are always good to know- use as many different layers as you can, save every few minutes, don't be afraid to use different brush sizes and play with all the fun Photoshop tools as much as you can- especially stuff like brush opacity, layer modes, levels, hue/saturation.... just ask!

i would have thought so yes, i would immagine more so in black (or grey). but i can't be sure. is this a good or a bad thing? (for me i like it, it just makes it almsot magical, even though that probably doesn't make sense)
