Nice ship. Are you still going with the backstory mentioned in the pic from 2015? Because if Blueblood wanders around the farm, happens to come upon the memento from Applejack's parents, and she explains what happened there... I think it would give even him pause. A tragic tale like that is perfect for opening up and bonding.

I have considered keeping it, yes, still planning. And yes, that is a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion! ^^ I had almost the whole story planned for that but things were a bit fuzzy and I stopped. Don't know if I'll ever write a whole story, but a good long post for it and, of course, with the art I draw for them.
