Personality (detailed): Shadowbeat (or more commonly known as Shade) is just a huge bundle of energy and joy. She loves making people smile and will often go out of her way to cheer someone up. That's not to say she uses over the top energy around everyone. Despite what her personality might dictate, Shade is very observant. She can tell when someone is just grumpy over when someone is genuinely upset and will often use her knowledge of that person to come up with the proper way to help them. She's very enthusiastic about most everything, and she spreads her optimism everywhere.

Shade is also very loyal to those around her. She doesn't believe in abandoning someone for any selfish reason and will stand by her principles. That being said, she's also significantly spontaneous. Her unlimited energy will often end up leading her to pull mischievous pranks and do anything to satisfy her boredom.

Bio: Shadowbeat doesn't remember much of her beginning. The first thing she remembers is onlining inside of an Autobot base and kept in some kind of enclosed room with a few other minicons.

In that room, she made her first two friends, Circuitstream and Voltswitch (who are cousins). Circuitstream was the serious type, but Voltswitch was the one who taught Shadowbeat to be energetic and always see the positive side to life. She ended up just like him since they spent the most amount of time with each other, always getting scolded by Circuitstream (who was the oldest of the three of them btw) for getting into trouble with other minicons in the same room.

She spent a significant portion of her life in that room until all three of them were taken out to be paired with new partners. Circuitstream and Voltswitch both went with an Autobot named Thunderbolt while Shade went with an Autobot named Pierce. Per scanning him, she gained the alt mode of a cybertronian motorbike but didn't attach physically to him like most minicons. Their bond with each other grew very strong over a short time, and Pierce always went along with her care-free personality, backing her up when she got in trouble. As their bond grew and Shadowbeat became accustomed to other people, she shortened her name to Shade as a nickname.

Shade also wasn't constructed blind. Her optics were severely damaged by a flash bomb during a battle, and they ended up having to attach sensors and a visor. But while Pierce was worried, given her personality, she thought it was awesome. She loved stumbling around like it was a game, despite earning more complaints from fellow Autobots. As she got used to her new condition, she re-entered the war and was well off with Pierce for a good 500,000 years. Until Pierce died in the war. He had last words, but Shadowbeat was and is the only person who knows them (yes I have them I just want to keep it kind of special).

Afterward, many were shocked by how little she grieved. Most bots would've been overcome with grief, but she spent only a day before being back to her usual energetic self. Nothing ever got her down, ever. She was always wearing a smile on her face, even when she sounded sad. As life continued, and more bots died, she was eventually sent off-world to several different bases. She never stayed in one place though for very long, considering no one was able to outlet her nonstop energy. When she got to Earth though, only the infinitely patient Optimus was able to curb her energy.

He and the others eventually came up with a term, where if she was too energetic they would send her outside of the base in a secure location undetected, or kick her out for a week or two, so she could vent her energy without disrupting workflow. She didn't mind though. She liked the time to explore Earth, and when she came back she talked non-stop about new things she discovered.

One day though, when she was kicked out, she was relaxing in a tree when Zero came along and tried to tackle some fish. Naturally, she introduced herself, knowing perfectly well he could be dangerous but knew she could get away. He was wary of her at first but quickly realized that Shade was in no position to harm him at all given the size difference. She loved the fact he was a Predacon and adored the idea of finally meeting one. She befriended him, and his energy and even insanity were a perfect outlet for hers. Shade hung out with him for a few days, showing him around the forest she had become accustomed to and letting him stay with her in her energon storage unit under a tree. It didn't take long to feel a natural urge to scan him as even her subconscious dictated him the perfect and ideal partner.

Once Zero agreed to the idea of having her as a partner, she scanned him and took on the form of a pendant that would attach to his chest in both his alt mode and bot mode. Since Zero didn't want to go to the Autobot base, Shade also made the decision not to return to the base. After all, she didn't have any true attachment to them. Though her loyalty to the Autobots remained. She would stay in that forest with Zero as his partner, but never really left the forest just yet, in case the Autobots ever needed to find her. But should Zero want to/need to leave, she will follow.
