SHOCK!I USED COLOUR!
Haha, its only because black and white wouldn't do this guy's hair justice.
May I introduce to you Zac Kurtys, another significant character in my story
He's a bit of an angry, emo kid, so i thought rather than put him in an emo corner... i'd put him in an emo corridor!
I'm really quite proud of this, because it really captures how I picture him in my mind.
Life for him is monotonous and unfair. So this is all he'd probably do of a day. Lie around seething in rage about everything that's happened to him.
He likes to hold grudges.
Zomg, i wanna murder my scanner! It took me soooo long to get his hair right, i used about 6 different shades of orange and red... but then the scanner comes along and ELMINATES THE COLOUR!!! T___T
And his eyes! They went from blue to green, but this picture like merges them into the one colour!
AND the clothing. I only coloured it in lightly so of course the scanner goes "a-derp-a-derp" and doesn't do my picture justice!

I just darkened and thickened the inking. It just makes it stand out that much more

no problem! honestly speaking ur style is similar to mine kuz I got like completely influenced by manga, but don't actually draw pure manga. I hav a story too and am just tryna get the materials down. any suggestions?

Lol, I just use simple ball-point pens for inking. Lots of people prefer to use felt-tip pens, but I prefer ball-point because its smoother and doesn't sink into the paper instantly

OMG u just saved my life right now...I HATE felt pens, but I always wanted a method of smoother inking! and it looks waaaay more appealing too. And are you saying u just use regular pens?

Yep, just ordinary cheap pens. I use the papermate kilometrico ones - then don't have as many ink blobs as other cheap brands do XD

wow that's perdy nifty! when did u like even decide to use pens? why not like all the other media in the world u know? personally tho I do like ballpoint pens, just not in the context that u use them

Yea they are but WAY cheaper. i would stick to prismas cuz u could add the color pencil with them. their fun to use

Pencil colouring looks awesome...im just saying cos i haven't seen you do much pencil-y-ness. The original must be effin amazing cos this scan looks pretty damn good.

Haha, sorry no princesses and dragons. I'm too feminist for that. Though he does like to beat up the hero and yell at people... but he's still got a conscience

Also I didn't realised you used colour until you said so haha
With the scanner sometimes it has auto colour balancing stuff which can ruin the image so turn that off and see if that helps, same with auto brightness. Then in PS manually adjust the levels.
