Cats are easy.... I know.
But when I had my first kid, I didn't think I had the right financial needs and the knowhow of how to take care of him as well. It's amazing how it all turned well actually.

maybe I'm just a bit egoistical, actually I think we both are, I think we want to feel free just a bit more. Anyway, I hope I'll have twins (there's a small chance in might happen), and boys, cause personally, I have always hated being born a girl. Although having girls - I think I'd take pictures of them constantly

My oldest one is 2 yrs old in a few days. My youngest one is 2 months old right today
I too wanted to have some more free time first. But some things you just can't plan... -_-.
Both are boys. And I do wanted to have twins first. But then you won't be able to "relive" the time you had a baby in your arms of your first born. With my 2nd kid, I am actually reliving the time my 1st kid was a new born baby. And I enjoy it a lot right now that I know exactly what to do with everything at my 1st kid
Btw... you will take photo's constantly even if they are boys. I know I do, although I haven't post them on DevArt

when I talk about kids I feel such a motherly instinct creeping up on me, since it's kind of in my nature to take care of everything and everyone. oh well..., and also, I so do not want my children to grow up in Bucharest, although they probably will...

well Bucharest is crowded, noisy, polluted (not that's anything new regarding a capital), and although it is a good place as to the studying/ working opportunities I think it is hell to raise a child, I look at the generation of children today and I think we're "doomed". I'd prefer them to grow up somewhere more quiet and where common sense is the norm. I grew up in a small town and spent my holidays reading, playing with my cousins in the countryside, at my grandparents. Those were the times
It all gets down to how well you can educate your child, actually how much time you dedicate to him, since it is also the surroundings that form him and they're not exactly perfect. The quality of the educational system in Romania has fallen these past few years, so many reforms, so many teachers going on strike. And so many other parents neglecting their children. So I just hope that we'll improve in the future...

Ah... I totally get the picture.
I grew up in Amsterdam. But didn't find it such a problem to raise my kids there. But my wife grew up in a smaller city and had a house WITH a back yard. So she kind off insisted having a house with a back yard where kids can play.
Looking back, it was not a bad decision to move out of Amsterdam and buy a house (with back yard) somewhere near the big city.
If only the traffic jam wasn't so horrible every day...

yep, I would totally agree to moving out of the big city...
I actually plan on building a house outside of Bucharest instead of buying an apartment in the city, but it will take time, and money, and planning... and as you mentioned, the traffic is awful to go in and out of the city. Right now I live 15 min from work so I don't know how I'd cope with making 50 min to work again. Who would wake up at 8 in the morning to go to work then? Not me sadly...

Well... my kid wakes me up at 7.30. Even if I haven't set the alarm clock. So I don't got the luxury anymore anyway to wake up at 08.00

Ach ja... dat denken de meeste mensen. Ja, ze zal mijn arm fijn knijpen. Maar dan is ze al zoooooooooooo bezig met het kindje dat er uit moet, dat ze eigenlijk niet goed weet wat er om haar heen gebeurd. Dus dat ik aan de kant sta en haar aan zit te moedigen, weet ze dan eigenlijk niet.

Nou op tv dat was was best grappig. hadden ze hun eigenbevalling opgenomen... en die vrouw was maar bezig. Kijk hem nou, hij zit daar maar wat te wachten en ik lig daar te puffen en gillen. ik zit al het werk te doen. hahahaha

Was niet nodig geweest. Ik heb haar mijn hand gegeven. Die heeft ze fijngeknepen. Voor de rest deed ze het voortreffelijk. Na 3x persen is Toni geboren

Dank! Het is inderdaad prachtig weer vandaag om ontslagen te worden uit het ziekenhuis! (ik heb ze net opgehaald).
Wij gebruiken Toni als een jongensnaam. Nu mag hij zijn levenslang uit gaan leggen aan mensen wat voor malloten zijn ouders door zijn naam met een "i" te schrijven op het einde. Heeft hij ook wat om over te zeuren

Het is inderdaad een afkorting van Antonio. Maar dat vond ik weer te lang om op te schrijven. Gemakshalve maar Toni opgeschreven.
Genieten doen we nu al. Hij heeft de hele dag al last van darmkrampjes... dus zit veels te vaak te huilen. Arm kind. (en je kan er gewoon helemaal niets tegen doen).

nee inderdaad dat is het erge,ik werk zelf op kinderdagverblijven en het enige wat je kan doen is ze troosten en lekker verwennen door te knuffelen met ze.
