Mine is an empty lifea shapeless cardboard box
held together by tape
strained and colourless
brittle and
trying hard not to let go
Mine is an empty life
filled with
tasteless
shapeless
hollow
packing peanuts
filling up space
stuffing every hole
bulk without weight
without depth
without meaning
Mine is an empty life
the spaces in between
the silences
the gaps
the absences
the missing pieces
the tear of the void
Mine is an empty life.
