The grass blends very nicely into the background. And those clouds have a pretty decent perspective to them. :3

I tried really hard to add more depth and feeling to this picture!
However I think I still have alot of work to do...

Well, there's always more room for improvement. :3
But the important part is that you're already advancing quite a bit!
The only issue I personaly have with this piece is the anatomy of the character, or rather his pose.
Which could've been made to look a little less confusing, and more clear.
But besides that, you really nailed the design in this piece. c:
