As I mentioned in my previous post, my girls are pretty similar in terms of attitude and character arcs:

-stubborn, determined and ruthless
-will do anything to gain an edge, even if it means walking a dark path
-survival at all costs
-fixes everyone's issues
-struggle with internal conflict, constantly wondering if they are a monster
-their first romance founders miserably and they end-up pining over their exes as star-crossed lovers because they're in the middle of a war and doubt they're coming out alive

as well as

-ending up in an affair with their best friend, who happens to be their closest confidant and who has sworn to die by their side if necessary, only for said affair to result in them catching feelings and falling irredeemably in love once again (boy, these last two sure are specific😂)

among other things.

That being said, despite her own questionable decisions, Amell is a whole lot more diplomatic than Shepard, so I can see her having an easier time negotiating with allies. As a biotic, she'd also have more freedom than a Circle mage. In terms of backstory, well, she probably builds a career in the Alliance out of spite for her grandfather and a desire to improve conditions for biotics in general. Outside of combat, she focuses on scientific research.
