I think the pencil strokes are lovely, especially in the hair. The whole thing has a really beautiful sketched feel. How do you feel about how the eyes turned out? I'm curious whether you got what you were trying for.

thank you!
well, I think I overdid a bit about the eyes size, but the thing I was trying was about drawing an unrealistic face in a quite realistic way... I mean, in another life I would have drawn this in ink and just as a manga: eyes, an inexistent nose, mouth (dont' misunderstand: I love manga!), but while painting I started to realize that what is really difficult to paint is not eyes, nose or mouth... but the face that armonize all those features, the skin between those features. So I wanted to try to imagine how to make something between a manga and a realistic portrait... since I never tried this thing before. ^^"
Sorry for the messy explanation

I'm sure will like it because it's a very beautiful sketch Most of all I like the way you draw her nose and her lips. To me it's a real nightmare to draw noses - and you're great at it.

thank you!
drawing noses is quite a challenge every time for me too, I quite found a way to draw a shape of nose I like but this way the risk is to draw the same nose all the time
The one thing that bugs me the most in this drawing is that the nose and mouth-vertical line is not perpendicular to the eye-line... It's a mistake I do very often when I don't study the inital sketch enough...

Don't worry - it's hard to notice this small mistake and due to that there's no absolute symmetry in nature - it gives her a more natural look.
