Wow. I was at uni and this teacher was telling a story how they refused a student entry because they drew in ball point pen. They said that 'you don't draw in ball point pen'. This is fricken amazing. Teachers know nothing!!! lol

Was this an art teacher telling this story? If so he has failed as a teacher. Art can use any medium. Ballpoint ink is one of my favorites, though like any ink it could be rather unforgiving if you mess up

I agree with you. I was suprised by his apparent elitist attitude toward art 😱Unfortunately this actually happened. The teacher was the Course Coordinator for the Fine Arts and CGI Core Units and also responsible for the folio selection and enrolment. He liked to tell this story to students quite often. He said he told the student that he did not think they were an artist. The student drew horses in ball point ink. I sometimes wonder what happend to them. If they continued to draw or lost hope 0.O
Anyway I think it takes a lot of precision and confidence to be able to successfully use this medium 😄
