Long ago in a faraway land where it snowed, there lived a queen named Eira, whose beauty matched the ancient goddesses. She had skin pale as the moon, hair as white as the fallen snow, and eyes of ice. She was a beautiful queen, but she was a sad queen. Her beloved was cast out and by a jealous suitor and never return. The land was unhappy that their queen was sad. Her lover was a peasant of the desert land who filled her heart with happiness and love. His name was Sofian and he loved her more than anything in the world. She met him when he had accidently entered her land.

There was a war going on in his land and got badly injured protecting it. Though, he was injured, he had enough strength to walk the desert to find help for his general told him to. He stumbled into the wintered land when he couldn't walk anymore. He had never seen the fallen snow before and it was so beautiful. He had lost consciousness when he saw something of an angel walking towards him. When he woke up, in was in room made of ice and snow. He looked around and saw the angel. She wore white fur robe and a white dress. She wore two white veils to cover her hair and a crown made of ice. To the peasant, she was the most beautiful woman that he had ever seen. The queen knew that he was a peasant because of the clothes he wore. He was from the Land of Sand but she didn't care, she had fallen in love with him and he had fallen in love with her. Since he came to the Land of Snow, he never thought of going back home. He wanted to stay with his true love. The villagers in the land had been very fond of the peasant and were joyous when the queen was happy with her love. Though everyone was happy, Eira's suitor, Pyry was very angry that Eira had fallen in love with Sofian. He had told Sofian that Eira will never be with him, because she was engaged to him also Pyry wanted Eira all to himself so he cast Sofian out of the land and back to his home.

Eira prayed to the gods to bring her beloved back to her, but sadly they didn't. She felt that her heart was dying waiting for him to come and take her away so they can be together. One night, when Eira was going to sleep, the frozen wind had blown a letter to her. She read the letter, and it was written by Sofian and he asked her if she would elope with him. Eira was so tearful and so happy that she left castle and went to the outskirts of her land where Sofian was. The two were reunited and knew that they can finally be together forever. However, the reunion was short lived, for Pyry found them and killed them both. The villagers heard what happened and hunted Pyry down and killed him. The villagers were so distraught that their beloved queen had died and her one true love shared her fate. When they were about to return to the kingdom, they hear a small noise, a cry of an infant. They race to the dead bodies of Eira and Sofian only to realize that the bodies had turned to snow and sand, but more importantly, a baby was present and not just a regular baby, for the baby was the child of Eira and Sofian. The baby was a beautiful girl; she had Sofian's hair and Eira's eyes. She was made from the blood of her parents. The villagers were happy that they had something to remember their beloved queen and her true love. They took the infant back to the kingdom and she was named Hima Sikata. Years later, Hima Sikata had grown into a beautiful young woman and was very loved by her people. Her arrival was the start of connecting the people of both the land of snow and the land of sand. She walk to her the site where she was born and where her parent had died. When she arrived, she saw the snow was connected with sand and it showed a beautiful mural of her parents and her as an infant. The mural only shown once every thousand years. The two lands became one and Hima Sikata became known as the Queen of the Sad Land.
