Awesome comic so far!! ^^
It does seem kind of forced in a way...but it's not really that noticable. Aang and Toph are really good friends even though they aren't lovers, so I guess Toph would decide that she'd be the perfect one to comfort Aang, since Katara is the one making him feel sad and Sokka is kind of too...well, you know for the job.

Yeah it is a bit forced...I wanted to do a Katara rejects Aang story and Toph comforts him thing but I wasn't really sure if I thought all it through. I felt like had to keep going or else I'd lose it.

Well...the only thing that really feels forced is how Toph just suddenly decided to use her abilities to find Aang and comfort him, because I'm not really sure if her vibrating sensing can tell if a person is crying or not.

I'd imagine Sokka would be comforting Katara with Toph in camp. Aang doesn't come back for a while so Toph goes looking for him to drag him back to camp because she can sense how distressed Katara is or something...

Very nice and in-character, thusfar, which is hard to do with Toph when she's supposed to be softer. Can't wait for more!

I'm so glad! it's really hard to portray Toph when she's being soft...but the episode "The Runaway" helped a bit. I'm happy you enjoy this comic! Hopefully I'll update again soon.
