I LOVE the London clan; what's not to like about heraldic gargoyles!? Una, of course, was the female (and leader!) of the group, and appropriately resembled the unicorn that flanks the British Coat of Arms. I enjoyed the look of Una quite a bit--you have to say she certainly was unique in appearance--but I'll never understand why she has lips...LIPS!
If this looks familiar, that's probably because you may have noticed it when I posted the original under my OLD DA ID some years ago
It may also look familiar, sadly, because another Deviant used my drawing of Una in his deviation WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. Please be aware that he has since CHANGED his artwork--undoubtedly because I called him out on it and nicely asked that he credit me for my work--- but it is no longer the wholesome Una-Celestia comparison it once was; it has become something a bit more pornographic, so you may want to go through your favorites and make sure you're ok with the sexier new version it has been transformed into. The worst part is that he plays it off like he did nothing wrong: "I didn't steal anything from you, so I don't see why I should give you credit", and so forth. What a sneaky jerk. 
So if you're friends with pacman552, you may wanna watch out: he'll post your art without your permission, then make YOU seem like the crazy one. Grrr. GRRR I SAY!Ok, Business and ranting asside, here's some other Gargoyle Studies:

Yes! Una, Griff and Leo were some of my absolulte faves as well; I loved that they tapped into the lore of London and made those gargoyles appropriately British

LOL Thanks! Hmmm..I never thought about that, but you're right...she is in only one episode! I too adore the non-humanoid/herladic gargoyles; I love that writers made them actually pertain to the mythology of their country of origin (ie, the Lion and the Unicorn on the British Coat of Arms? AWESOME!), plus they're more like what real gargoyle look like, what with their animal faces and all! Thanks again for (yet another!) lovely comment

I never really understood why all female gargoyles always had pink lips, I mean...Do they actually wear lipstick? Lipstick that doesn't come off when they thaw out of stone sleep every night? I mean...Its not like we can't tell the difference between male and female gargoyles without the use of painted lips or something, we can tell by the shape of their bodies same as humans lol

LOL right?! Lipstick on gargoyles is sort of a weird concept...I always figured that it was just natural lip color, like blush in cheeks. But then...wouldn't they have to be warm-blooded for either lip color and blush to appear?! I'm...I'm SO CONFUSED haha!

She doesn't have lips in the comics, but her face is too horse-like there... I think the goat-like unicorn look is far more fitting for a Gargoyle. A mix of the design from the animated series and the comics is the best in my opinion. Slender snout with very narrow nostrils, but a lipless mouth.

Hmm I've never read any of the comics, but from how you describe it that seems it would be the best option--a slender snout without lips sounds just right! Also, what about that horn? Is there an actual horn UNDER the ornament? Just curious if that was ever explored in the comics...?

Yes, real horns. The horn is a mutation with two fused-together horns. So, actually it's not even REALLY a single horn^^
