Spot-on symbolism. In a way, the Oracle was a bit manipulative, controlling the girls like marionettes and basically altering their lives profoundly.

Oh wow! I just love this! It's really, really great!
It almost looks like a book cover of such. You pretty much have a whole story drawn in just one picture. Look, this is now a prime example of the expression "A picture says more than a thousand word"

Nah, those are just puppets to symbolize that he controls everything, but the Guardians are not REAL puppets. And you're not dumb, the image can be seen in more than a way, I guess .
