This is a hand drawn layout, made in scale, coloured with colour pencils and with full details of furniture, fabric, timbers and complements...
The design is made according with the "real" apartment respecting the spaces, proportions, furniture and objets presents in the studio set.

That could be one of Sherlock Holmes' unresolved mysteries.
But (in theory) Mrs. Hudson lives on the ground floor, Sherlock on the first floor and Watson's bedroom is on the second floor.
But in the series, so far, they have not shown anything about Watson's bedroom/flat.
(Another populr theory says that Sherlock and Watson shared bedroom and... bed.)

According to the original stories, Watson's room is on the floor above Holmes's bedroom. We might assume the same holds true of the Sherlock version.
