Seriously? Meg has so many qualifications and she is a very unique and interesting character. People claim that there are 2 reasons for this, but I don't think they are valid enough. They are as follows:Meg is not of royal blood neither is she married to royalty
What kind of point is that? Mulan doesn't have these qualities either, and she is an official Disney Princess. Plus, Meg is married to Hercules, who is the son of the King and Queen of the Gods. So that makes him Prince of Olympus, thus Meg is Princess of Olympus. People say it doesn't count because Herc declined his father's offer to join them, but even so, that doesn't stop Hercules from being the son of the monarchs of Olympus.

The princesses that represent "Talking animals" in the pic are Pocahontas, Cinderella and Jasmine. None of their animals talk, so if they count, then Meg does too. Makes sense to me.
As for the "Cursed" bit, I know what you mean. Probably should have written "Not exactly". Still I like to think it does count as "Cursed". If you don't see it like I do, that's fine

Mulan might be noted by the Emperor but even I would agree as a fan of her, she necessarily isn't really a princess, even with her marriage to Shang as he's a general of the army.
It sucks Meg isn't part of the lineup. Also Kida as well as she would've been awesome to be Disney's first sci-fi princess (well, before Leia came in lol). Though she does technically become a Queen later on, she was technically a princess throughout all the film.

I love Meg, she is tough and brave. Meg's hair is almost magical to me lol, so different then most. I think she should be considered a Disney Princess, she doesn't want help and she even tries to not fall in love. Hey song is one of my favorites from the movie.

I think the reason they didn't consider Hercules a big hit was because it didn't do as well as Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, or especially The Lion King. But if you think about it, that's still pretty unfair of them to say that considering it at least made more money than The Little Mermaid which is one of their most popular films.
