PLEASE IGNORE THE UGLINESS OF THE FIRST FEW DRAWINGS. THEY GET BETTERThis was done as a request from ~gloryforever1 , who asked for a tutorial on creating an Irken OC. It's not technically a tutorial, just more-so some tips that I wish I had when I was creating my OC's for the first time. So yeah
FFF I don't even know why I did this. There are a few more like this out there already. Oh well. I hope this helps any of you people new to the IZ fandom!!

I used to draw irkens all the time. now that I draw mlp and star vs and steven universe I lost my irken arting flow. Soooo, This tutorial isΒ so helpful! Now I can be dot of flipnote hatena and also draw my evil lil buggo Devi aaaaaa!! <3 thanks for this

I hope many people will concider this since it's a very healful guide. It keeps the irkens looking like they should, normal antennas, regular eyes/eyelashes and a big variety of forms...
PS. I too have a yellow eyed irken that remind me of a bee xP

Exactly, there is just too many irkens with colored antennas or weird floaty things and so on, or modifiying their body to a wird extent and make it sensless and bady cover it up with an experiment :<

Some helpful tips in there, but my eyes are still trying to recover from the pink background! @__@ (Maybe tone it down or use a gray-green color that's easier on the eyes...) I like the part with the different body types and head shapes; THAT'S what really makes the character stand out in a line-up, not their "super-pretty-and-unique" antennae.

Same here, I really like most of K-Poppers here on dA. They're so nice~ But there are a few that are so CRUEL since they only like 1 kpop group and decided all the other suck. (A lot of Super Junior fans, which I am part of.) But most of them are really nice too. There's always unnecessary and stupid drama everywhere.

Agreed. Why can't people try to mix things up a bit? It's so much more fun :3 I feel like all OC's are just based off of Zim's appearance, and a lot of people totally disregard the other Irkens we see on the show when designing their character.
