Long ago during the Calamity, an explosion destroyed the world and sent the World Tree to a pocket dimension. However, four parts of magic of the World Tree remain in the core world. Those power became fruit with glowing names of War, Famine, Death, and Conquest that are engraved on. Four Warriors ate the fruits and gained immense power. They ravage the world and recreated it of their own image. But then they were taken down by an almighty hero named Gilgamesh. They were killed but their can transferred to newborns when the last users are dead. Flash Forward to 2021, the calamities power were now transferred to Team Omicron. War belong to Beltores, Famine to Malrick, Serah has Death, and Shane got Conquest. Their powers awakened in other forms.

* Beltores's War Calamity invoke when he tries to stop a pack of hellhounds and became a terrifying demon.
* Malrick's Famine Calamity invoke when he and Shane trained martial art and manifested to Art of Poison.
* Serah's Death Calamity invoke when she made a deal to Nero and became a grim reaper.
* Shane's Conquest Calamity invoke when his mother got infected by a cursed spirit during her pregnancy. However do to Shane's father side of Hamon Users, he also gained the ability to manipulate both Hamon and Curse energy.

The symbol show when need to boost their power(roses symbols on Beltores's arm, a wasp on Malrick's right cheek, rosary and skull on Serah's left side on the neck, and a yellow orange 8 point star on the forehead and black and white wings for Shane.)

You think that the Calamity power will end the world but nope, they were better to use the power to help the world rather than destroying it.

(Note: Beltores is that War Calamity is because he is an archdemon and they are too powerful to enacted wars. Malrick is the Famine Calamity is because he came from a race of alien bug people, and bug do intend to ruin people's lives. Serah is the Death Calamity is because I want to balance out of a damsel and a femme fatale. And Shane is the Conquest Calamity is because I wanted to make him a beacon of hope and do impossible thing like Jesus, Shane gained respect to everyone who he deemed worthy and became a Messiah, hence the Conquest Calamity.)
