Description Summer Pony Show 2015
Horse: Tiromancino
Driver: Sahro Bile, 23
Groom: Andrea Svensson, 29
Class: Driving
Result: 1st out of 5

When I drew it I simply assumed it was the same as the dressage phase in combined driving but Wikipedia, Google and dA tells me vague stories of something else. Something to do with slim ponies flying (not in the flattering way) through an American indoor arena with strange equipment. CSStables , what did you have in mind?

Yet a new student at Andrea's riding school, this time from one of the pure driving groups. Sahro is of Somalian origin and she's slowly working up her courage to get on the back of a horse. She hasn't really been around animals in her childhood as her family hasn't had that much money nor shared Sahro's interest in animals. Sahro went to a "Naturbruksgymnasium" (directly translated it would be something like agricultural high school in English) were she had small animals as her orientation subject. When she got a job at a veterinary clinic she decided it was time to get to know the magical creatures called horses. They turned out to be not so magical as they were huge but she loved them all the same. As long as she doesn't think about how high above the ground she'd be if she'd be on their back... But it's still on her bucket list to be able to ride one day!

Andrea is just sliding through life on a banana peel as usual.

Made a leaf pattern for the background as the darkest parts could easily be mistaken for a poorly painted sky. Still not quite happy with it.

Hahah I DID NOT imagine "slim flying ponies in American indoor arenas with strange equipment" that's for sure
Honestly the Driving class in this show give you the possibility of going with either the terrain part of driving (the one with obstacles and rivers and shizz), or the fancy one (2 classes in one basically), I was sure the description of the class made sense, guess I was wrong. But don't worry! It looks terrific Still can't get over all that harness detail <3 You must have put quite an amount of work into this.

Good good
And the equipment isn't that strange except for the breastcollars on a lot of pictures, so thin! I'm used to thin breastcollars but then they are "Y" shaped which evens out the pressure a bit more.

Ooh I didn't even notice the american equipment XD I don't know much about driving, but it was a class that was arduously requested so there it is I'm used to seeing the hungarian made harness on horses, and on those the breast collar is slightly more solid looking than on the american made ones, so I guess that's why I didn't notice the weirdness of it
