Love this. I can actually see two faces on both trees. I love this kind of surreal swirls forest black and white theme... the composition is spot on, the swirls take your eye from the tree to the bird and back... Very lovely work!

Thank you very much. I think the composition of this one was more conscious than Ghost Stump. I was trying to hint at a story.

the bird is looking at both trees and the trees are having some conversation that looks intense.
and the bird is like,,,, so what do I do or say about this? lol
maybe the Commentary would go like this,
Skinny Tree: "Jerry why do I have to look at your ugly mug all the time, at least you could smile."
Fat Tree: " Well you know what STAN!! It is not like I had a choice on where I could grow. and Who do you think you are calling ugly?"
The bird just happened to be walk by and got caught in the argument with the 2 trees Stan and Jerry .
haha idk what do you think Wyrmfed?

This is really nice. Love the way it's drawn. ^^
As for the pixellation, it might be the scanner settings? Low dpi or sometimes greyscale scanning does it, too.

Thanks.
My other penwork scanned ok, I must have done something different with this one. I'll rescan it one of these days.

Ooh, good move. I'm sure a re-scan will solve it. ^^

As always I like your line work and how fluid it all seems.... Especially on organic tree Creatures...
I think it might be unintentional, and because of the pixilation, but this reminds me of an intaglio print. It has a nice warm fuzz to it.
