And sometimes i do more chunky fur style like on my squirrel's tail
You just have to kind of shade the chunks of fur accordingly
Also start from dark and work to light, never the opposite unless you want to give yourself a hard time! XD

let you in on a secret
start with the shading colour and add the midtone, and then the light
it makes it easier than going back and shading since light areas dont usually go all the way to the edge :0

it's not too hard! You just have to pretend it's acrylic paint
... and then pretend it's oil paint and takes forever to dry because AJHQ takes forever to check them LOL
But yeah, I find the process is very close to working with acrylic paint on paper. :')

I completely think you have the skills to do the same, just need some patience and practice working on a single layer :'D
