This one took some serious work. About 30 completely new OC ponies in varying degrees of distress. Oh right...
WARNING - This comic is a bit severe. Don't read it if you want to spoil your good mood
Note that I don't intend to get this grim often, just that considering Nightmare Moon collapsed large sections of the castle and who knows what else, it's likely there were some serious injuries.
A few things to note: There's a pegasus in the rafters who looks pretty upset. Her name is Whirley and she's a cameo from this comic: [link]
After reading that heartbreaker, I always wanted to give that poor little pony a hug and now I have
Also, Rose is invisible for the entire duration of this comic. At the end, the pony observing believes that Willow is running away screaming. She also makes a snide comment which is a hint to the political landscape of the time (healing ponies don't think much of "emotional healing").
Lastly, I'm enormously pleased with myself. This turned out very artsy and awesome in parts. It was mostly an accident that I thought of some of the arrangements and effects, but I think they turned out really well!
Oh... lastly, lastly: This was actually supposed to continue beyond this point, but the comic would have been too long and it already took an extraordinary amount of effort to do this much so I'm going to stop here for a bit. The next comic will have Celestia again
IMPORTANT! The thing in the tubs is soiled bandages. That's why they're cleaning them over by the river. They're not organs or some of the other things people keep asking me

I was about to rag on the seeming cheeriness of what is, after all, a triage facility, but second thoughts were wiser: it is exactly that contrast, between the beauty that was and the horror that is, which makes the scene work. So if I get any ideas about how this isn't dark and gloomy enough, please feel free to ignore me: this is awesome, and not just in parts.

I like the showing around a picture of the cutie-mark rather than the face when looking for a loved one... much more differentiated for someone who can't draw like a true artist (the character looking for Rose, not you).

I figure that cutie marks are so integral to their society, it would much faster and more common to look for someone by cutie mark than anything else

If you're referring to the panel of when the nurses have to hold a pony down, I think that they're cutting off a limb. If you look in the first panel, you see that the stallion unicorn with the mustache and beard, you can see he's using magic to pick up a knife.

War... though the men and women who fight do indeed suffer, it is always the innocent who suffer the most.
Grandad served in Vietnam, and what you drew here describes exactly what he said the war was like. The men crying for their mothers, the medics overwhelmed, the loss of a friend right in front of you...

Thank you for letting me know that it wasn't too much for you. I would have felt bad otherwise, but yes, I tried to make this as horrifying as possible without making it traumatic. It's the contrast that shows just how amazing a world like the current Equestria is. Peace and happiness for every pony! (Well, most anyway)
