OCTOBER EDIT: I added a background image of the library and added a ton of fuzz and hair to make her match with all the great pics that came after. She was the first so I was still learning at the time

I worked really, really hard on this. I knew it was going to be out of my ability, but I had to try. I think I like how Twilight turned out though I had much bigger plans for the rest. Still, I think it's ok.
I wanted this to be something people might want on a t-shirt. I'll probably submit it to WeLoveFine and hope for the best
If they accept it, at least I can get a t-shirt with it on there.
I have plans to do this for each of the mane 6 and the three princesses.

If I'm not mistaken, Twilight's hidden cutie mark should be up there in the sky outside the window. Her cutie mark is one big star with six smaller stars surrounding it, but I think in this picture there are only five smaller stars? :I

She only has 5. There were six in the finale, but this art was done far before that AND we're not really sure if that was intentional. It's hard to imagine it being an accident, but we'll have to wait and see.

Oh! That's not an effect, that just drawing hairs one at a time 
I wanted to use a "fur" or "grass" brush because that would have been way faster, but the hair goes in different directions depending on the area so I had to do it little by little. It wasn't honestly THAT hard though it did take a little while.

Maybe it's just me, but the font in the background looks just like the runes in LOTR. I remember because when I was younger, I spent about an hour staring at them, trying to decode them for fun. I actually managed to do it.

So, what does the writing behind Twilight say? I recognized it to be from The Lord of the Rings and got out my chart. I could get "Nimaru devi (blocked by Twilight) om Tw(I think there's an 'I' here because that would make 'Twi' which could finish Twilight but not much of the character is showing) (blocked) (Another obscured character, but I want to say ''P or 'G') an-r(k or g) keh-s (blocked) (again, the character is pretty obscured but I would guess L to make Luna) una kadenke." I might be horribly off but I tried

You know, "font" are not always "fonts" they are other scripts that don't directly translate. I think they are runes.

Are you sure this is LoTR? Most all of these are Elder and Younger Futhark runes.

Well I translated it with characters in the back of my LOTR book. I got pretty close with the translation, with things off like 'kadenke' instead of 'Cadence' which is understandable since it's a font. I tried to do some research on Futhark runes and to look into the LOTR runes I was using (Cirth). I believe this font is based off LOTR because while the letters look extremely similar (although they do have some differences), the sounds they represent are very different. If this was Elder Futhark, for example (according to the chart on wikipedia) the part of the drawing that says Nimaru would read "Zibuto". I definitely understand the confusion though, looking at the Futhark runes (which I had never seen before).
