NEXTI've been working on this for a few weeks little by little and finally got it done. I plan to write a "report" page for each of the original Elements.
This one was difficult because all the ponies and many of the poses are original while the last ones were just traces for the most part. I also did a lot of drawings to show the scenes as they played out because they were just too much fun
Love and gratitude to Lauren and Hasbro for the pony wold in which we play.
EDIT: Almost forgot: since I know everyone's going to ask, yes, Willow's dad is in the guard though I haven't named him yet. Her mother, a VERY sensitive pony, is named Maple Breeze.

went halfway thru part 1 of this... and I felt compelled to make a new favorites folder for your story! Your tales (and Snowdrop's (youtube - SillyFillySTudios)) are the kinds of historical tales that either the current ponies should learn about in an episode, or the stories (Celestia's previous mane six during the first battle) should be animated! Interestingly enough up were she becomes able to differentiate her own feelings from others she closely matches a certain model for autism, and than afterward she diverges greatly, showing just how complex the notion of "empathy" really is. Like intelligence, empathy does not refer to a single concrete skill, but a generalized one. Here Willow seems to be highly skilled in most forms of empathy.

Can't think of anything else to say that you haven't heard of at least 1000 times, beautiful works, great storyline, etc etc, except for... I love Willow's mane and tail XDDD they're very unique. Started at it for ages when I first saw her in your comics

Awww, Winter Willow is adorable. I love her willingness to help ponies in need, and how her empathy is very different from Fluttershy's, in that she connects the deepest with ponies, not animals. That story about how she befriended and helped the class bully was both heartwarming and charming, and XD I love the panel where she's sticking her tongue out at Crabapple. Ah, young love. X3

I still feel wierded out that Applejack and Fluttershy share a common ancestor through Willow and Crabapples' unnamed foal that they made together.

you'd be surprised at how wierd history works out for individuals, I mean Charlemagne was one of my earliest-known ancestors. Heck a kid I went with in school was related to the Alamo Defender Davey Crockett.

If i may ask, what kind of brush (if paint tool sai) are you using to draw Willow and Twilight?

Willow is regular round brush, Twilight isn't brushed, it's vector.

Photoshop, but it should be about the same. It's just a round brush that's mostly hard (a tiny soft edge maybe). I draw and if it's too far off, I might make adjustments with an eraser (especially for share edges and such).

But where did you find the background? And if you made the background, how do you do it?

Used a tan background then made my brush really big (like 200 px) with maybe 10 or 20% opacity and a really soft edge. Then I picked a dark tan color and just marked the background here and there to make it looked stained.
