"All the happiness, all the despair, all the victories, all the losses, all the love, all the fear, all the death, and all the lifeβ¦. All of it was held in a gaze that was as distant as the setting sun." -B.o.MLove that line and especially love the picture.
I use this screenshot a great deal to recap on his basic facial features and to get what his scar looks like when it's still healing, right down to the last stitch!

Ohhh how sad he looks there! He needs a hug I always wonder just what in the world he was thinking in that episode. I just his scar hahaha Great line btw!
It seems once again our Cody's have found another similarity
With the "how when Cody's thinking he looks like he's "somewhere else" line!

I've always imagined him thinking about how this represents the coming separation the Jedi and clones. As a strategist he knows how the Jedi and clones will react (which is why he was so flawlessly brilliant in this episode
) to this new train of events: The Jedi will lose trust in the loyalty of the troopers and the clones will be disturbed by the notion of them being slaves. Very complex, but I love how much it fits into that undercurrent in my books.
Thanks! Our Cody's must be clones or something!!

Exactly!!!! Complex is usually better when it comes to stories
He's always brilliant
I always wonder whether the clones actually think about that they're technically slaves
They are clones

I think they slowly realize it. Sad to say, I think they either come to accept it as their fate, refuse to accept it (as in many of the cases we've seen so far), or choose to think hopefully about how their roles in the war is changing the Jedi and bringing more understanding about them to the galaxy.
Heh heh, pun intended.

Didn't even notice the pun till I read that last bit
It's sad really Problems like these was probably why Order 66 was so easily to obey plus some Jedi were really mean to them or just cold.

Totally true. I always think of Quinlan Vos, he was such a jerk/turd yet everyone else somehow loved him....? He cut his commander's cheek open because the clone wanted to notify the Republic about some stupid trade route that the wookies wanted to keep secret (for no apparent reason). The commander, after Order 66, confronted Vos in the forests and told him that the Empire would raze the planet just to kill the Jedi. To me this was a warning for Vos to flee while he still could or fake his death. But what did Quinlan do? He jumped out of his hiding spot and killed the clone. I mean how stupid can a person get, really??
Vos also maltreated Commander Bly, which was probably part of the reason why the clone killed Quinlan's apprentice, Aayla Secura. I guess I'm just a Jedi-disliker.

Yeah he's the symbol of a true antagonist or whatever you call a character your supposed to hate but you don't
I remember reading all of those comics with him in it. I got so mad when he was mistreating the clones, especially the part with Bly. Although I totally understand the part about the secret trade route, its secret for some reason, and the wookies deserve to keep it that way, really. They've been through too much just like the clones
Why are there more Republic comics featuring Vos? Do people actually like him that much??
My views on the Jedi changed so much after reading Republic Commando but I don't hate them thats for sure

Dark Horse basically made up Vos after seeing him for like 3 seconds on Tatooine in Ep. 1. (nerdiness level raised to 78! )
I got that the Wookies didn't want their uber-special trade route revealed but, come on, they're in a war right now!
Anything to keep the Separatists off their planet should have been a good idea. Idk.....
Sorry, I just didn't see the logic in that decision, and the way Quinlan acted, like Faie was going to go terrorist on them or something, was really stupid. I also don't really remember that one that much (and have been reading oceanography textbook all day so my brain is a little cooked.
) I'm totally a Jedi hater though so 'hate-ahs gonna hate!'
(i.e. Aylaa didn't deserve Bly.
) My views about clones changed after I learned what Jango was like/watching Cody on Ep. 3. I know it sounds cheesy but I could never accept that he was evil/a bad-guy/wanted to kill Obi-Wan.

Oh right! You hardly even see him. And I got mad at the fact he couldn't help Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon! I mena come on you were there. But nnnooo you had an "important" mission The Star Wars galaxy has so many twists and turns
An oceanography textbook? You must have been going out of your mind! LOL that reminds me of the meme with the little kid wearing a Master CHief costume
Really? Well for me... I do remember when I went to for see Attack of the CLones there was a party at the movie theater and they had real clonetroopers coming down the escalators
And some jumoed form the second floor to the ground floor
Omg it was epic! I screamed so much that day
And then after the movie there was a big party with all the clones
What a great day that was! Now that day is when I started loving clones

It really does doesn't it. Yeah, oceanography...it's ok so far. Not quite as boring as I was fearing.
I was out of my mind for taking that linguistics course.
Awwww, I wish there were clones there. I didn't even get to see it in theaters.
When it came out I wasn't that much into Star Wars. It wasn't until episode 3 came out that I got excited about it.
When my dad organized that Movie exhibit at the museum I got to hang out with a few clone troopers (one of their names was Dan and he was a cop, I only remember him because he acted the most like a clone trooper).
Unfortunately there was no epic jumping though and since we were also acting (we were Jawas!!
) we couldn't really hang around with them as much.
I did get some awesome pictures with the clones using my friend's camera but she never forwarded them to me.

Well thats good then Ohhhh no wonder you don't like the New Republic, Legacy, and all those other future eras, how did you get into it? When episode 3 came out it was so crazy at the theaters
I've been into Star Wars ever since I was a baby, literally. My parents, especially my dad, are big fans so it was inevitable I would love it too. COOL! A clone cop sounds awesome
Awww a Jawa?? Did you steal any droids hmmm???
Utini!!! ( I think thats how you spell that thing they always scream
) Oh god that sucks!!! I would get so mad if they never sent me the pictures!

I'll admit, I was interested in Obi-Wan and General Grevious. That went on for a while--a couple thousand Jedi books and episode watching later -- and then I started disagreeing/questioning the way the Jedi were doing some of the things they were. I began to question their motives and stuff like that.
Then about the billionth time I watched Episode 3, I was like, "Hmmm, that orange guy is interesting....". And then I played Battlefront, read those old Clone Wars graphic novels, and Bounty Hunter and was like, "Hmmmm, these guys are more than they seem....". And thus my books were born. The first being B.o.J.
We chased the remote controlled R2 around. (Yep! ) We also ran around because Dan and another clone pretended to chase us. We had these old, little pieces of junk/machinery from a tank (Anna's dad was in the military) that we would pretend to try to sell to people and the clones would pretend that we were black marketers or something.
She also never sent me the movie we made with our action figures. It was of a barfight and Cody was the star because he FLEW!!!

I wish I could read your books! Thats not the one where Jango has a cool stealth armor right? Or is it?
I loved the campaign in Battlefront! I felt so bad for that clone trooper
But its a really good story. Imagine if they made a show all about the clones that took us from the very beginning where Jedi Master Sifo Dias made the order for the clones up into the Empire era and beyond!
Oh that sounds like so much fun!!! I would love to chase an R2 unit!
Lmao black marketers???
Oh man that comment made my day
I can imagine the clone troopers detaining you guys
Ohh cool! Cody flying??
Without his epic orange jetpack I assume?

Heh heh, Jango only gets to wear his Mandalorian armor. It's another special person that gets the stealth armor.
I've been working away at a good portion of Alpha's stories and have found a good spot to begin them.
I've got a good amount of time this weekend to read them over and add to them so hopefully I'll get some up soon! I basically cover Jango and Cody's life from birth to...well...
and everything inbetween. I should put some of little Cody on here. He's sooooo cute at a little kid. I could even replicate some of his drawings.
(aka what happens when clone gets a hold of loose flimsy
).
It was because Yoda (who my friend and I always pretended was senile ) crashed a speeder into the bar and Cody did a ninja leap in stop animation. But since we couldn't show him flying through the air to get to his destination because it was stop animation, he just ker-splatted on the speeder.
After watching it a few times we all deemed that the funniest part because it looked like he teleported.

It's a strong tempered alloy plating (like clone armor only a bit stronger, maybe like commando armor) and reinforcements (i.e for his ribs and spine and helmet. The fabricy part is actually a type of nanobots that restructure themselves when they come into contact with the familiar pH of his skin. When he takes off a plate of armor, say, the chestplate, those corresponding nanobots are prompted to return to that piece. Coating it in a nanobot glaze so to speak.
It really is a high tech sort of armor, but the conditions it was given to him were a little bit unfair. They weren't counting on him returning, only completing his mission. It's one of the various faint shadows of Sidious' fingers in some of the affairs of the war and how he used the clones. :L

Ohh cool!!! So it does have some sort of powers. Sounds like everything above his waist is more protected. The fact that it becomes familiar with the pH of the skin and the nanobots is brilliant. I can just imagine how easy it is to take that armor of if you get injured. Ohh
Thats sad. He sure showed them!!! Reminds me of clone assassins.

nimbus2224 In reply to mandospartangirl117 [2013-02-22 02:09:57 +0000 UTC]
Thanks! I wanted Cody to have some sort of neat 'toy' that he could dig out and use when he was not supposed to to help gain more intel. The nanobot-fabric is still susceptible to direct stabs from knives and it can be blown apart by guns. He actually gets stabbed in the back by some crazy dude once, though not badly.
I forgot to mention his feet have reinforcements too and there are some plates of armor on his legs.
Cody has proven to defy a good number of the Sith Lord's plots on a regular basis.
There's clone assassins?
Like the commandos were sometimes?
