Description
The fourth step and one of the trickest ones as it's all about details. I've always problems with them wanting to add them sometimes when the picture calls for them but not wanting to overcrowd it with details. It took me several tries until I reached a details distribution that I liked. More rips at the legs to show that there's cloth there and to fit more with the feeling the other ripped clothes give, it seemed wrong to see her legs unharmed with such a rip in her skirt. Since the skirt was plain as I decided in the previous step the lines I added didn't have any specific order being there mostly to show the movement of the skirt and the slight waves it has. The small details in the boots were the hardest as I kept failling to get the appropiate perspective and angle for them, I'm still not very conviced with the outcome but I can't do more at least for today, maybe later I'll have the will to try to fix it. The jacket was the second hardest part after the boots, I added the border but kept feeling I should add something else to her chest, a poket or a badge or something, however so far I've decided to leave it as it is. Just like with the boots maybe later I'll return to this point and add something to the jacket although it doesn't seem so bad.Now the character's outline is quite finished, but it's all done in those ugly and cartoonish black lines so the next step will be to give those lines colour according to the colour of the area they outline. But that's something I'll do tomorrow probably, right now I need a break.
Time spent so far: 8 hours
Previous step: Clean lines
Actual step: Details addition
Next step: Line coloration
