Fulfill the Task - Speedpaint
Third piece in my "Task Bringers" series
The Task Bringers are two lonesome, long-journeying swallows collecting
memories and gathering the messages that brought light into lives, under their
wings. They continue to soar in search of the next string of tasks to be filled, and
memories to be made.
It's been three and a half years since I drew the first Task Bringer piece! It's
a fun concept to return to and develop every so often. I would love to keep this
little collection of works up for the following years, seeing where I take this idea~
The red-orange-teal scheme of this piece contrasts greatly with the previous
two works, but I still kept with it. I kind of literally went for the "under the wing"
motif with the upside-down scenery that features the two swallows! I wanted
to go for the appearance of opening up, presenting this other world. I also drew
in the wisteria to reinforce the logevity and beauty of this journey these two are
on.

I'm in love with this Task Bringers concept that you came up with, can't wait to see the whole serie! I haven't seen the previous two before.
I really like how well you achieved the transparency of the wings, that's something I always have truggles when painting feathers but it looks so armonious here ♥

Ohh I'm very pleased that you like it! The previous works are memorable and dear to my heart, even if I may not do anything related with the idea for an extended amount of time. Really pushing a scene designed from the story I hoped to "open up" and imply, more!
I loved painting those wings, though I know how you feel! I never quite understood that those overlapping feather shadows could be present before, so it was good to practice with it here. It certainly is hard, not making the feathers look puffy due to the shading xD
