Ahahah yes I think Dorian meant something like that XDD (and maybe Cass would have secretly loved it XDD ). Honestly the fact that she lent the books to Dorian is still killing me.

Yeah, let's call it an original use of a scarf in battle (one that ends with you stuck in low- hanging branches. Unless magic barriers prevent that. I mean, it would make sense, considering how mages somehow manage to wear terribly impractical things without getting stuck into things XDD)
That's pretty cool though, so I'll take this chance to ask: if websites or book suggestions about armour history in different areas of the world come to mind, send them my way if you have the time.  :'D

Mmmh I disabled them a long time ago in the hope of discouraging people from reposting stuff on Tumblr. I mean, things that I had already posted on my Tumblr account.
I don't mind it if people repost my stuff on a website where I don't post it myself, provided they credit and link, but I don't think it's okay if they do it on a website where they could simply share my own post. Since the first two, and most visible, share options are Tumblr and Facebook, and I do post everything on there as well, I prefer to just put links to the Tumblr and FB posts in my deviation, to encourace people to do it from there. 
I guess if I could disable only the Tumblr and Facebook sharing options and leave the rest it would be okay for me (or can you? Man, maybe something's changed i the meantime?), since the share buttons encourage proper crediting.

Cool, personally I'm of the opinion most reads on armour and its history is a bit of a...slog, since those times aren't the best documented. I generally just put on a YT vid from one of these medieval enthusiasts and have them present it (which is probably less dry as well). My go-tos are: scholargladiatoria, Skallagrim, Lindybeige, Metatron and Shadiversity.

Each is relatively well-learned in the field and each bring their own strengths to the table. Skallagrim is by far the best production quality, but mainly focuses on the practical application of weapons, usually using modern-forged weapons to demonstrate. Scholargladiatoria seems the most professional, Matt from there is an antique weapons collector, so there's that. Metatron is useful whenever it comes to Roman or Japanese stuff, since he's a linguist and can actually read all the different texts in their original form. Lindybeige does a variety of topics, from current politics in the UK to WW2, to medieval things. He's a bit of a character though so might take some getting used to. Shadiversity lives in Australia and is thus far removed from the Old World. His stuff mostly revolves around the things you can cover through research and deduction.

So as a medieval-period nerd who doesn't want to spend all their free time researching it, this was a safe compromise

Thank you so much!! Yeah that's precisely why I asked, I can never find something that is complete and at the same time keeps my attention for more than 10 minutes xDD Plus, while watching videos I can multitask a bit.

Oh, okay! I won't, then. Thank you for clearing that up. I'll probably use a combo of the two versions 'cause this sounds best: "She's beauty, she's grace, she'll punch you in the face and then stab your book in the preface."  

I hadn't seen that anywhere else, so I assumed you'd made it up 'cause I favorites a Dorian thing of yours that had that hilarious phrase on it.

Thank you so much for your incredibly nice comment! °O° I'm always afraid that everything looks like I'm trying too hard, if that makes any sense. 
(Heh, at first they were red flecks that were indeed meant to suggest either petals or blood - with Cassandra, it could easily be both XDD But in the end I thought it made more sense for them to be red lyrium shards. Come to think of it, I should have made them shinier maybe)

No problem! 'Seeker' certainly doesn't come across as trying to hard, in fact it feels seamless with how all the compositional elements blend with Cassandra's dynamic fighting pose.
All of those, petals, blood, and red lyrium shards, suit her so well! The lyrium shards make it look as if she's cutting down the red templars from Emprise du Lion, which makes her look like the badass she is, and the implied petal and blood imagery feels like a callback to Cassandra's romantic side and her struggle with the Seekers. Making it doubly awesome as a snapshot of her overall character!
(I think the shards look great as is, any shinier and they might have been too distracting, plus the hard and rectangular edges already make them look like lyrium shards c: )
It's definitely a gorgeous piece Do you think you'll sell prints of it online?

That's okay! I've heard the copyright laws are inconsistently tight and loose around selling fanart, it can become a bit of a gamble.
