This was made for the SPN_tarot community on livejournal.The mods were lovely enough to contact me and tell me about this project, and I was immediately enthusiastic about it *U* <33
So, this is Temperance, Major Arcana. I tried to stick to the traditional symbolism of this card (an angel holding two cups, standing near a river, but I set the scene at night and made Cas stand on the water, because he's awesome like that XD) but I know nothing about tarots, so I hope I didn't make any terrible mistakes XD
One of the meaning of this card is that opposites can be merged together. The card description in the community mentioned someting like mixing firey red and watery blue, so I took it literally and made Cas juggle with fire and water. Trying to draw fire and water was actually what made me so eager to do this card, because I draw Cas and wings all the time, but I had never drawn fire and water (with PS at least) I hope they don' look too bad. >__>' There are a lot of things that I would like to change in this pic, but for now I'm too busy/lazy

If you like tarots, there's a book by Italo Calvino I've read a few years ago that I found pretty interesting and unusual...surreal, actually :3 I was thinking about it because I'm reading another book written by him right now, so I thought I might mention it to you XD [link] you would probably enjoy it more than me because you actually know the cards! XD

well I love the pics in my deck, that's the best part, finding a conection with your deck, my first one was tarot of the sweet twilight and the one I have now is a manga one, on the site you can search for all kinds of tarot decks from rider to oricals, but most of it is finding one you understand and like looking at, as well as the feel but that might just be me...so if you want any help finding a deck ask and I'll try and look for one, ty for the reading sujestion!

np, I've been training an army of tarot readers since 9th grade(it wasn't my fault that the only free time I have is at lunch and people think fourtunes are cool, I sware it was an acsedent)I have a site for layouts too but you need your deck before you mess with that, try geting one slighty tradional(78 cards, 22 major the rest minor) to start with but there are alot of those, I sware there's even a cat lovers deck...

Elegant is one perfect word for this, but I'm gonna go with:..... ALL YOUR ART ARE BELONGING TO ME!!!!! The title and flame make me think of Globus' "Take Me Away", which has a piece that says:
"Answer our call in desperate hours
Shelter our fall from earthly powers
Temper our souls with flame and furnace
Bear us toward a noble purpose
Heaven hides nothing in its measure
Mortal men blinded by false treasure
Formless and vanquished we shall travel
Shield and sword will guide our battle"
In short, ANGEL SO~ONG! But it's really amazing, and it reminds me of that... Shutting up now...

I particularly like your use of light and dark in this, especially on the sides of Castiel's face and his wings, the movement of the elements, and the starry dark behind. Excellent work!
