This was made for the SPN_tarot community on livejournal.The mods were lovely enough to contact me and tell me about this project, and I was immediately enthusiastic about it *U* <33
So, this is Temperance, Major Arcana. I tried to stick to the traditional symbolism of this card (an angel holding two cups, standing near a river, but I set the scene at night and made Cas stand on the water, because he's awesome like that XD) but I know nothing about tarots, so I hope I didn't make any terrible mistakes XD
One of the meaning of this card is that opposites can be merged together. The card description in the community mentioned someting like mixing firey red and watery blue, so I took it literally and made Cas juggle with fire and water. Trying to draw fire and water was actually what made me so eager to do this card, because I draw Cas and wings all the time, but I had never drawn fire and water (with PS at least) I hope they don' look too bad. >__>' There are a lot of things that I would like to change in this pic, but for now I'm too busy/lazy

So I read in your other comment that you're doing a second card, and realized that I never saw your first card! D: Ugh, I'm horrible. Since I have dial-up now I'm just too impatient to keep track of all the neat art I want to see, but I wish I'd at least made the time for my fellow spn_tarot artists.
Anyway, this is awesome! I am definitely loving the fire and water! I can't believe that this is your first time drawing them. I'll make sure to keep an eye out for your next card, this is great!

Thanks, I'm really happy you like it! :3 Yes, I'm new to colouring in general, actually(err...I might have hurled my tablet on the wall a couple of times, while I was drawing the splashing water >__>')W-well, the new card is just a chibi card XD (I just posted it on the comm, because I'm obviously studying *cough*)

I love it! It's absolutely gorgeous and the detail is wonderful especially with the water! I can't rave enough about this picture just know that if I had a poster of this I would hang it up over my bed it's so beautiful!

This is beautiful, truly well done! What strikes me also is the detail in how you drew the splashing water -that had to be bloody hard!

OH, I HATED THE SPLASHING WATER XDDDDDDDD That was the hardest part, I think, I'm not really satisfied with it actually, but I'll do better next time *U*(It actually looks better on closeup, but on closeup you also see all the errors, so I used these dimensions -w-')

Well, why don't you check out the community I mentioned in the artist's comments, then?:3 You could draw one of the cards!! *U* You'll find all the info you need in the "user info" section, if you want, but basically you just have to join, choose a card and contact the respective mod, it's really easy! XD

sweety, what the numeric value of this card? I'm trying to figure pout which one it is in my set(Aleister Crowley's set) o-O because mine have dutch names it;s somewhat difficult. if it VII? because your description with the two cups and merging fire(male) and water(female) is more Art, XIV o-O anyhow, if you like tarot, look into Crowley's set, it's really interesting especially if you find a good book on the symbolism involved.

XDDDDDD Wait wait wait, as I said in the comment, I really know nothing about tarots (except that some decks have pretty pretty pics XDD I'd like to buy some of them, but I really have no clue how to use them, I will look into Crowley's set, though, now I'm curious *just realized SPN's Crowley is named after Aleister Crowley :'P *) so I can't help, because I really have no idea @_@ *confused* Maybe you could go look in the community and ask the mods? But now that you mention it...none of those cards have numbers on them, does it mean they can't be used? I'm not interested in using them, but, it would be nice, if they could be used as a real tarot deck Β°___Β°'Is the number important when you use them?

actually I like to think SPN Crowley and Aleister migth've made the devious set together, because it;s really about accepting your shadow and none of the cards being negative or positive but being both xD and special interest is shown in the card lust and such, it;s a nice set.
And yeah the numbers are important, there's a whole numeric system behind them, how all 3's of all four symbols of the little arcana are connected in and to the 3 of the great arcana, which is the empress, and how 3 and 3 is six, so six cards are also connected to threes and blabla bla.... so yeah. Also you decide what your personality card, creature card and "year"card are by adding up the numbers of your date of birth, or your birthday of the running year,and then adding them together till you get their a two digit number or a one digit number with the creature card.
and that it's xiv scares me a little, since I've only been dabbling in tarot for like 3 months, and I already recognize cards from mere description without them being my set....(crowley's set is far from traditional) but yeah tarot is fascinating.
