Description
as promised to ~watermarks this is just a very simply 2 minute example of using scan-lines over an image in an attempt to make it less desirable to thieves (more commonly known as those that RIPabove is before
below is after
scan-lines are very simple to apply in photoshop or something similar with layers ... all you do is fill a top layer with a pattern of empty and black lines ... this particular image uses two pixel wide transparent line followed by a black line ... and the layer is set to opacity 60 or 65 ... can't remember
go ahead and ask any questions you may have
peace*

Thank you so much for this.
This is an interesting idea; though it may be a bit intrusive, it does not take too much away from the photo and it can be a way to safe keeep those really important photos.

hey .. no problem at all ... to be honest .. i don't really like the name plastered all over the image thing ... i personally think it takes too much away from the image ... good arguments can be made both for and against i am sure - and i am not trying to start one here .. just noting is all .... and i guess same can be said for this idea but i think its less intrusive .... and screws up more of the image than a name and copyright symbol would ....
unfortunately ripper are a part of life now a days ... we can try and take measures to prevent theft, but its still going to take place ... its how they say .. if there is a will there is a way ... heh ... anyways .. i am off to california for a week ... cheers**
