Description
Second of three images I am doing for an upcoming gallery.
The first one deals with my depression; this one deals with my asthma. I am allergic to...well, pretty much anything. Fur, dander, dust, cigarette smoke, marijuana, pollen, cashews, animal saliva, grass...yes, grass. And because I have asthma my allergic reactions can become very violent. My throat itches something awful and it becomes very difficult to breathe. Generally I try to ignore it - I am allergic to my guinea pigs, but I didn't let it stop from owning two in my house. But at times it rules my life. If it's cold outside I can't walk for too long, let alone attempt outdoor stairs (I always have to use the elevator to get to class, even though it's only one story up). I did track and field for 10 straight years, but had to give it up because my lungs couldn't handle what my coaches wanted of me.

I didn't know you struggled quite that much with it. This piece is surely very expressive of that. But you really put up with a lot, and you're a survivor coming so far with it. I'm glad you have a creative outlet with your art too.

Thank you Yeah, my inhaler is definitely my friend lol. But I've found it's more important to learn to live with asthma than avoid everything it stops me from doing
