The Neko Outbreak

Part 1: Seaside City

6:30 PM

The sun was already starting to descend mid-way. In the distance, a city is in sight as a familiar teenager in his usual blue long coat was riding in a taxi.

“It’s pretty nice that I won that raffle for a week-long cruise,” Jack thought to himself. “But it’s too bad it’s only good for one person. Would’ve been nice to have a few other friends. Oh, well. I’ll send some photos later.”

Jack continued to watch the world pass by lazily. As he was riding, he just passed a sign that said:

“Welcome to Seaside City. Where excitement awaits.”

7:15 PM

The sun was already starting to set, but Jack finally made it to the city.

Jack got out of the taxi, and began to walk to get a little more exercise. However, something felt wrong. The deeper he went into the city, the more eerie it suddenly felt to him. In fact, he hasn’t seen a single person walking about. He didn’t even see a single shadow moving.

“Okay,” Jack thought. “This is a little creepy. But, anyway, since it’s late, I might as well find that hotel as provided in my prize.”

Following a map given with his cruise, he did his best to find his way towards his destination. He, then, heard a faint splashing noise. Curious, he walked over to see what it was. Unbeknownst Jack, someone, or rather a few someones, was watching from a dark alley.

As soon as Jack made another turn, he found what was making that noise. It was simply a fountain running its waters to keep the park’s atmosphere peaceful.

“Huh,” Jack chuckled. “I can’t believe I made such a big fuss over a fountain.”

But, then, Jack noticed something dark on the other side of the fountain. He came over and looked. Jack was horrified to see a young man slumped over the side of the fountain. But what shocked Jack was three claw marks on the back of the man’s back. While it isn’t deep, it looked recent, thus the perpetrator could still be around. Jack checked his pulse, which was fortunately still active.

“Oh, my gosh,” Jack said. “Who did this? I’d better call 911.”

Before he could reach for his for his phone, he froze to a few hissing noises. Jack looked up, and saw three shaded figures slowly walking towards him like they were predators. He felt that there was something off about them, but was interrupted by a moaning. Jack looked down, and was shocked yet again. The man’s wound gradually disappeared like it never existed. But, it didn’t stop there. The man’s frame suddenly shrunk down. His hair grew darker and longer until it reached his back. His shirt stretched, trying to contain his newly formed breasts. Another moan escaped his feminized mouth as he lost his manhood to a womanhood. Her face softened while her waist narrowed and her hips widened. All her body hair and her Adam’s apple disappeared. Her clothes then shifted into a girl’s school uniform with high knee socks and small black shoes. And, just when Jack thought it was over, the girl’s ears moved up to the top of her hair, became triangular, and grew black fur. As a final touch, a black-furred tail grew out of a convenient hole in her new skirt.

“…What the heck,” Jack thought.

Suddenly, the new girl’s new cat-like eyes snapped open. The girl turned to see Jack and began to hiss as she stood up and walked towards him. Jack later noticed that the shaded people were also cat girls. Seeing that the situation doesn’t favor him, Jack turned and quickly ran. Looking behind them, he was shocked to see that they were already close to catching him.

“Darn it,” Jack shouted. “I don’t have time for cat and mouse.”

Jack took his multitype pistol out of his bag and set it to wind element. With one pull on the trigger, a burst of wind knocked the girls back.

“That’s should knock the wind out of them,” Jack said. “Dad sure was right about making me pack some self-defense.”

Not wasting any time, Jack ran for the hotel, hoping he won’t have to run into any more trouble. As he ran, a nearby security camera hidden in a tree was following his movements.

7:45 PM

“Whew. I made it,” Jack said as he wiped some sweat off. “Still, though. What’s with those cat girls? Hmm. Maybe I should tell someone about this.”

As he approached the hotel, he felt something wrong. There a few cars scattered with no one attending them even though a few doors were open. And, there were no workers patrolling the front of the entrance.

“This day just keeps getting freakier,” Jack said as he went to the doors.

But, Jack didn’t go in. Actually, he couldn’t. He pushed the door as hard as he could, but it wouldn’t budge. He tried the other doors, but he ended up with the same result. He started knocking.

“Hello,” Jack called. “Is anyone in there?”

After a few minutes he gave up.

“That’s weird,” Jack thought. “Hotels usually don’t close this early. So why are all the doors closed. And, why are the lights off…Oh, what do I do.”

Jack, then, noticed the door to the second floor balcony open.

“Hmm,” Jack said. “I know this is breaking and entering, but I don’t really have much of a choice.”

Jack’s right eye grew red, and he gave a good jump onto the balcony. He, then, entered and closed the door behind him. He took the stairs down and approached the counter.

BANG!

Jack felt something wiz past his face and quickly ducked for cover.

“GO AWAY!” a man’s voice shouted.

Jack peeked and saw a man in a business suit holding a handgun.

“You monsters already ruined business enough,” the man shouted. “So, get out.”

“Sir, I didn’t mean to break in,” Jack replied. “I only came as a winner of a raffle.”

“Oh, I’m very sorry, sir,” the man said as he lowered his gun. “I guess I surprised you, huh?”

“It’s okay,” Jack said as he stood up. “It’s my fault for breaking in. Say, why were the doors shut?”

“It’s because of those cat girls,” the man growled. “I don’t know all the details, but there was suddenly a panic outside. These nekomimis may appear happy and sweet, but they actually transform people into one of them with a single kiss. Sounds stupid, but that’s what happened. For the safety of my customers and workers, I had this hotel locked up.”

Jack lifted an eyebrow and thought, “Happy and sweet? But, the ones I encountered seemed more dangerous and hostile than happy and sweet.”

“Anyway,” the man said as he went to the counter and produced a card. “I’m sorry to say that your cruise is probably cancelled. But, here’s your room card. One of our finest Suites. All your luggage is already sent there. Please make yourself at home.”

“Thank you, sir,” Jack said as he headed off.

“Oh, and strict rules as of now,” the man said. “Please keep lights and loud noises off. You know. Since the cat girls may come by.”

Jack nodded and headed for his Suite. It was a bit of a wait in the elevator, but he eventually made it to his Suite. Despite how luxurious the space appeared, Jack still felt that eerie atmosphere after all that has happened. He was about to take off his backpack, but then…

THUMP!

He heard a loud thumping noise outside. At that moment, he froze. Even though he knew the dangers of going out, he decided he needed confirmation. He took his gun out and quietly opened the door. He walked slowly in the hallway with his pistol ready. Jack looked around and noticed that the elevator was active. Seeing that it was descending, Jack took the other elevator and went down as well.

Ding!

Jack found himself back on the first floor. It’s still quite dark, so Jack took caution at his every step. Then, he saw the table in the lobby shake.

“Who’s there?” Jack said with a firm but quiet voice and his gun pointed.

“Hey, don’t shoot,” a female voice said frantically, but quietly.

A girl about Jack’s age stood up. She was wearing casual clothing, had short cut black hair, and appeared slightly shorter than Jack.

“Sorry,” Jack said. “I heard a noise. Just wanted to check.”

“Sheesh, don’t scare me like that,” responded the girl.

“I’m sorry,” Jack repeated. “But, tell me. What are you doing here?”

“I…just lost something,” the girl replied.

“Maybe, I can help?” Jack offered.

“N-no,” she stuttered. “I’m alright.”

“Um, alright,” Jack said. “I’ll stay by just in ca—”

Jack, then noticed something shining in the moonlight near the window. Jack went to it and found a silver locket. Subconsciously, the girl turned to Jack, then gasped and took the locket from him.

“You didn’t look inside it did you?” the girl said frantically.

“No, I didn’t,” Jack said somewhat startled. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was yours.”

“It’s fine,” the girl said. “I’m Emily Connery by the way.”

“Jack Crosser,” Jack said. “Here for the holidays?”

Emily shook her head. “I’m looking for clues about my past.”

“Your past?” Jack said.

Before they could say any more, they heard some loud banging. Wondering what it was, the two teenagers crept to the entrance area. Once there, they were shocked at what they saw. There was a ton of very young cat girls banging on the glass walls of the hotel.

“Get back!” shouted the manager as he held his gun behind the counter.

Jack and Emily turned to see the manager cowering behind the counter with his gun.

“How did they find us?” Emily said.

“They probably sniffed our scent,” said Jack.

Despite the catgirl’s gentle appearance, they were actually starting to break the glass. Even though the danger was in front of the two, they were too transfixed in the scene to budge an inch. Then, finally…

CRASH!

The catgirls broke through and started running in the hotel. The manager was so stunned that he fired his gun. Unfortunately, in his panic, he missed and fell down due to the combination of fear and the recoil. Before he could get up. A cat girl jumped on top of him and gave her brightest smile.

“Hiya,” said the cat girl. “Why don’t you play with us-nya.”

Without warning, the nekomimi kissed the man on the cheek. The man went wide eyed as he felt the changes occur. He tried to resist, but the process was inevitable First, his height started to drop. As it happened his body hair and Adam’s Apple disappeared. His face started to smoothen out as his blond hair grew to mid-back length. His waist and shoulders crashed inward while his hips widened. His manhood soon disappeared for a new womanhood. Finally, her height stopped at a middle school girl’s height. To her dismay, her clothes started to shift into female undergarments, small black shoes, and black dress with pink frills. As a final touch, her ears morphed into black cat ears, her pupils became slitted, and a black cat tail grew. As they did, he felt the mental change kick in. He tried to resist, but the more developed his new cat features the more pleasurable it became, eventually causing him to succumb to the changes. Her face then, grew a smile.

“Nya,” purred the new catgirl. “That felt so wonderful. Thank you-nya.”

“Your welcome-nya,” ssaid the cat girl responsible for her transformation. “Can someone turn on the lights? I want a better look our nyu friend-nya.”

One of the nekomimis went to a light switch and turned it on, illuminating the floor. Unfortunately, the lights in the hallway hiding Jack and Emily also turned on. Even if they were well hidden, they couldn’t hide their…

“Hey, there’s someone there-nya,” a cat girl said, pointing at the shadows casted by the two bystanders.

The girls looked and caught sight of the two. Jack and Emily took a step back in their defense.

“Don’t be shy-nya,” said the recently transformed nekomimi as she made a cat-like pose. “Let’s be friends-nya.”

Jack pulled out his gun and grabbed Emily’s hand.

“Time to check out,” said Jack as he set his gun to Energy Mode.

Jack fired a blast of energy in front of the girls. The explosion created some smoke, making for a smokescreen. Jack made a mad dash with Emily through an empty space where the window was already broken. They ran as far as possible until the cat girls were out of sight.

“Whew,” Jack panted as he let go of Emily’ hands to catch his breath. “I think we lost them.”

“Yeah,” Emily said catching her breath. “By the way, where did you get the gun?”

“My dad invents stuff as a hobby,” Jack replied. “He insisted I take it for self-defense. Though I think it’s overdoing it for a cruise.”

“Well,” Emily said. “At least you have a dad that cares?”

Jack raised an eye brow. “What do you mean?”

Before she could answer –

HONK! HONK!

They heard a loud honking noise. The two turned to see a large oil truck coming straight at them. They could vaguely see the driver struggling with what appears to be another cat girl trying swipe at him with her claws. Truck crashed into a nearby car, capsizing the entire vehicle. The two jumped away in opposite directions as the truck skidded towards them and crashed into a wall. Oil started leaking, and a nearby wire sparked, igniting the oil and –

BOOM!

The truck exploded, separating the two teens.

“Emily! Are you okay?” shouted Jack.

“I’m okay!” Emily responded.

Just then, the truck’s door opened. Then, out climbed two catgirls: one that was fighting and the other who obviously used to be the driver.

“Let’s head to the police station,” shouted Jack.

“It’s no use,” Emily yelled. “Already, tried there earlier, but there’s no one there. Let’s meet at a place called Felis University. Have some business there.”

“Okay,” Jack shouted.

With that, the two cat girls picked a target, and pounced at their respective prey. The two teens barely managed to dodge it and began the sprint of their lives.
