Since lava guts are still basically canines and are 'adopted' to fit the owners needs and wants, various body types have been manufactured.

wolf/guard:
built for defence and as a guard dog this body type is rarely allowed indoors as the resulting LavaGut may hurt the indoor guests. Unique features include: a thick 'bull' head shape, an extra coat of epidermal tissue covering exposed insides- very hard or impossible to break, and a full human form. Lava guts with the wolf body type are more human than the human LavaGuts and even their necks and holes close up to look more like jewlery than the glass. This body type requires little rest as the body can create energy through motion and adrenaline.

Fox/Sleek:
built for those pet lovers who like a bit of a wild touch, this body type is characteristic of a fox or weasel. These LavaGuts are mainly made for racing as a sport amongst the aristocrats. Although all body types can race, the Fox body type is best suited for endurance, high energy conversion and aerodynamics. As house pets this body type is mainly quiet and stay resting for races.

Chow/midget:
this body type was made for those aristocrats who could 1-afford them and 2- wanted a smaller dog in their home, chihuahuas had died out by now anyways, they needed a replacement. Most popular in the Asian countries or India, this body type is all about love, attention and style. The Chow usually has an intricate 'glass' pattern that is unique to the owner's taste. Many traits are selected before the creation process at the whims of the future owner. These babies cost more than any other LavaGut , only being outdone by the Weiner. As pets thse cuties are less yappy than one would expect and usually spend their time in pet shows, playing ball, going to parks or grand events and snoozing in a fortress of pillows.

Weiner:
as stated previously (aka in the lore I need to upload) creating a LavaGut identical to an actual canine in features is near impossible. Just as the Chow, Weiner body types go through a special selective process in their creation and are worth more than the Chow to buy and make. Due to this they are very rare, and there are very few variations of head shape that can fit the body.

Giraph:
this build was specially ordered as a fashion statement and for decore due to it's Middle East inspired shape. These beauties are highly regal in nature and vain. Their body patterns are covered in etched designs which glow with the inner lava. A head hole is a unique feature of these body types.

body types that can turn into humans: Guard (special human form), Giraph (though for dancing purposes only and their necks are highly fragile)
body types that cannot: wiener, fox, and chow due to physical problems and dis proportions.

in order of rarity(least to highest): Guard, Chow, Fox, Giraph, Weiner
all are considered uncommon or specialized body types.
