Description

So, here we are, the first picture relating to Sonic's upcoming 30th Anniversary this year. I'm doing drawings of Sonic characters representing their games and their first appearances (including the handheld titles) and I'm doing it weekly (whether I do it every Wednesday or Thursday).

The first picture I've done is Sonic, the titular Blue Blur himself, who first appeared in his own game back in 1991 on the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive if you live in the UK). Sonic, who has a lot of nicknames, like "The Fastest Thing Alive", "Blue Hedgehog", "Knave", "Big Blue", etc, has been around the early 90's and is still one of the most iconic video game protagonists, next to Mario, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Link from The Legend of Zelda, Cloud from Final Fantasy, you name it! Although he's been making lame jokes since Sonic Colors and he's pretty much annoying. But however, thanks to Ken Pontac and Warren Graff no longer writing stories for the games, we're going to get new writers for this decade.
