Here's a piece for a comic book cover. I omitted the title font due to people possibly stealing it. It never hurts to be safe.Hope you all enjoy.

Very nice. It could be any of them. The originals all wore red. only until Archie comics got a hold of them did they get colors.

So, what are you up to these days? I got so much turtle stuff up the yin yang that I'm getting a little tired of it. I think it's time for a little break.
Anyway, thanks for the comment and you're correct. They all wore red bandanas but the thing that I always found to be strange is that they're ninjas and what ninja in his right mind would wear a color that stands out so much. Shouldn't they be wearing black instead? LOL!!
I don't know. I guess I really don't mind if they all wear red or the different colors. A ninja turtle is still a ninja turtle to me but I guess if you want to get back to their roots, red is the way to go.

true, true. I love being...well you know the rest. Anyway you shoud get into some of the little jams that my friends and I are doing for ourselves. It breaks the monotony. The last one was a MOTU. The next one has something to do with zombies. As far as projects I am working on a motorcycle book and right now I'm in the process of creating promo pinups to sell as prints. We'll see.

Sounds like a good idea to draw something else for a change. Speaking of MOTU, I hear the latest news is that they're still trying to get a new movie made which I really hope happens.

maybe when the next jam comes along I'll try it out. Pretty busy with drawing TMNT and writing TMNT scripts. Yeah, you'd think I would've had my fill but I guess some of this stuff needs to get done. Oh boy, now I think I'll go back and rewrite the script.

My initial impression was actually Leo... but no matter. Great work on this, dude. Love the painterly look, especially the texture of the scars. I'm planning on getting something done this week in honor of the opening of TMNT... time permitting...

Most of it was done in Painter but I kind of hated the program because it was a memory hog and ran kind of slow so I took it into Photoshop and finished it up.
If you're looking to do scars, it's pretty simple. All I do is create a seperate layer then draw a black streak on it. At this point you can change the opacity if you like to lessen the effect. Then, you want to place a lighter streak on the edge farthest away from the light source. Or, you can just duplicate the black layer and change the brightness contrast so that it's lighter and then move it to the right or left depending on your light source.
