I love it when paintings/artwork twist my brain around and make me double take at what's going on. What a powerfully conveyed image of this giant sea creature soaring in as a harbinger of doom for the humans below. The benevolent look on it's faces makes the immenent attack not even seem as worthy as a passing thought. Beautiful.
Which programs do you use to create artwork like this (PS and Painter i am guessing). How large is your original image in order to create the details on the back of the turtle, for example? Have you ever thought about doing a brief tutorial to show how that is done?
