how do ou mine redstone? and how do you find obsidan and what do you o with it?

Well, to mine redstone you need an iron or diamond pickaxe, And to find obsidian you must mix water and lava together and mine it with a diamond pickaxe. Obsidian can be used to make a Nether portal, Enchanting table, and it can be used as a building material, as it is blast-proof. There might be other uses, I just can't think of any other.

I put coal with facepalm because every time I mine in Minecraft, I ALWAYS see coal. Even though it is useful, I find it annoying to dig really deep into the ground and find nothing but coal...
