I'll most likely move this to scraps at a later time.

Okay, so as I mentioned in my journal a couple weeks ago, I've been wanting to draw more and focus on building up my basics. I'm trying to take the first steps as of right now. So far, I'm 2 days strong... it's a start.

Something I've noticed that I'm extremely weak on is female anatomy. In an attempt to build up my ability, I've been sketching. For now, I'm using references. What I've been doing is finding images, redrawing them by hand from building blocks, some even up to detailed 'drawings'. I hope to eventually stop using references (or at least to not copy them directly). Quick thanks to for her helpful tips.

The top left three images were done yesterday, and I chose them because the artist's style is very exaggerated in key areas, which I felt would help point out the differences in the body.

The top right 3 were more to try and build up a base figure off of a character who wears a bit more clothing (though not much ). This artist also likes to exaggerate body proportions, although in a completely different way. The top two were this morning, while the last, more finished one was tonight.

The bottom left two were tonight as well, simply because I wanted to get a little fine line practice in as well.

The bottom right is how I feel when I have "art block".
