Then again, it's probably fuzzy for Yusei since they zapped the ever living crap out of him during his stay.

I think his sentence was originally six months but the plot was all LOL NO.
Yusei's been zapped, had a laser to the face, fallen down great heights, got a piece of shrapnel to the gut (or in the dub, internal bleeding or...something), thrown around by a batshit crazy Aki...And a whole more things.
And then he gets back up like nothing happened. Daaaang.
